First July Course ends on a High Note!

Dear Friends, we had a very successful course this past weekend at the Institute of Primate Research (IPR) Karen Campsite in Nairobi. We had opportunity to visit Karen Blixen Museum (Out of Africa movie legend) and learnt so much about the history of Kenya before and after independence through the late Karen’s perspective. We want to thank Dr. Beatrice Khayota who is the Vice Chair of the board of Janam Peace Building Foundation for introducing us to the management of IPR and especially facilitating permission for us to camp at their exclusive and pristine campsite. We couldn’t have asked for a better wilderness classroom so close to Nairobi. We will post photos from this course on our Facebook site in the next day or so. Please check out our website http://www.janampeacebuilding .org for this and other updates. Now we are off to Mombasa to start preparations for the arrival of student leaders for our second July course which starts on Friday this week. Thank you for your continued interest and support of our peace building program.

Peace Always!
